Twin Oaks Queer Gathering is a week away!

The Acorn Circus Tent is ready for the Queereoke, Open Mic, and Drag Show!
Twin Oaks Queer Gathering is nearly here! We hope to see you next weekend, Sept 12-14. Pre-registration closes next Friday at noon Eastern. Pre-registration is not required, but it helps us prepare better, and makes your on-site registration process quicker and easier too.
Indoor accommodations: Don’t like camping? We have no on-site accommodations this year, but we’ve partnered with a couple of nearby communities if you’re looking for an affordable bed a couple of miles away. See our indoor accommodations page for more info.
New this year: Outdoor Queer Exchange! By popular demand, this year we’ll have a table where folks can sell or barter their own homemade goods or leave business cards and other promotional materials. This table won’t be staffed, so it’s not a real vending space, but could be a good way to find new customers, makers, and/or services!
Last call for workshop proposals! So far we’ve got workshops on nonbinary botany, Queer Authentic Relating, foraging, queer metalsmithing, transition journey show & tell, and more! But there’s still plenty of room for that workshop idea you’ve been sitting on. Workshops are up to 90 minutes long, and can be as structured or as informal as you like, on just about any topic you want to teach, discuss, or collaborate on. Submit your proposal by Wednesday the 10th!
Food: We’ll have vegan, dairy-free, and gluten-free options for all meals. If you have other dietary needs, please contact us at [email protected] so we can have tasty foods ready for you to enjoy.
Transportation: Need help getting here? You can find directions and a carpool link at https://twinoaksqueergathering.org/transportation/. We also have funds set aside to help those for whom travel costs would be a hardship! Priority for travel stipends will be given to BIPOC/PGM and trans applicants.
Important note: We require everyone to show a negative covid test taken within 48 hours prior to arrival. Covid tests can be purchased on-site. Thanks for helping us keep this event more accessible to immunocompromised friends!
What is the Queer Gathering? It’s a fun and supportive camping event for queer folks and allies of all ages to come together, skillshare, make art, build community, dance, and organize. It's hosted by Twin Oaks Community in rural central Virginia. Join us in the woods for a weekend of queertranstastic fun, learning, workshops, networking, revelry, and more! Read all about it on our website: https://twinoaksqueergathering.org
See you soon?
Queerly yours,
The Organizers of the Twin Oaks Queer Gathering
